Glossary Definition
A related party is any person or entity that is considered “related” to the reporting entity. A person is considered “related” if that person or entity has control or significant influence over the entity, including being a member of management or the board. Related parties may also include transactions where the parties in an agreement or deal already have a relationship before the arrangement, either professionally or personally.
